If Shipping Etc packs your item and ships it via either UPS or
Federal Express and that item is damaged or lost in transit, you’ll be
reimbursed:
The item’s value (subject to the lesser of actual value, replacement or repair
cost)
The full retail price you paid for packaging materials and services, and
Your cost for shipping (excluding Declared Value charges).
If you do not declare the value of the item at the time of the transaction and
purchase Declared Value for that amount, your maximum reimbursement for the
item’s value is $100.
The Shipsafe Guarantee applies to packages:
Packed by Shipping Etc using only new materials purchased at Shipping Etc and
Shipped, by Shipping Etc, via UPS or Federal Express on Shipping Etc’s UPS or
Federal Express accounts to any domestic destination serviced by UPS or
Federal Express.
The Shipsafe Guarantee does not apply to:
Shipments processed through UPS.com or Fedex.com or on your UPS or Federal
Express account
Customer-packed packages
Items packed in materials provided free-of-charge by any carrier
Items shipped weighing over 150LBS
Items excluded or restricted from transportation by UPS or Federal Express in
violation of their terms and conditions
Items deemed as oversize or requiring special handling by the carrier.
What
do I need to do to have my packages protected by the Shipsafe Guarantee?
Just take your item to Shipping Etc and let our certified packing experts handle
the rest. We will professionally pack and ship your item via UPS or Federal
Express. You should know the value of your item to obtain Declared Value
protection if the value of the item exceeds $100.
Does
the Shipsafe Guarantee cost extra?
No.
If I
don’t purchase Declared Value on my item, how much will I be reimbursed?
You will be reimbursed up to $100 for your item (subject to the lesser of the
actual value, replacement cost or repair cost per the UPS Tariff or Federal
Express terms and conditions the full retail price you paid for packaging
materials and services, and your cost for shipping.
Are
the charges for Declared Value reimbursed?
No. The fee you pay to have your package protected by the UPS or Federal Express
Declared Value option will not be reimbursed.
How
do I know if my package is protected by the Shipsafe Guarantee?
All eligible packages are automatically covered by the Shipsafe Guarantee.
What
do I do if my package is lost?
If you believe your package is lost, please contact Shipping Etc immediately so
that a tracking system search can be conducted. You’ll need to provide your
receipt in the event of a claim, so please keep it.
What
do I do if my package is damaged?
If your package was damaged in transit, please contact Shipping Etc to report
the damage. You’ll need to have your shipping receipt available, so please keep
it. The recipient must retain the box and all packaging materials along with the
item until you have received instructions from Shipping Etc or the claims
adjuster. |
